Questions, answered

FAQ

The practical details about publishing, viewing, privacy, controls, and plans.

What is Gallmo?

Gallmo turns your photos and videos into an interactive, hand-tracking 3D gallery that you can explore and share with one link. Gallery Games Hub turns the photos inside your gallery into games, while Gallmo Playground offers separate camera-powered experiences that do not use your gallery media.

How do I share a gallery?

When the gallery is ready, publish it from Gallmo Studio. Gallmo creates one unlisted gallery link that you can send directly to guests. If you add password protection, share the password separately. Guests do not need an account or a separate app.

Can I password-protect a published gallery?

Yes. In Gallery actions, set a password of at least eight characters before or after publishing. A protected gallery asks each viewer for that password and remembers successful access in that browser for seven days. Changing or removing the password takes effect immediately; changing it also invalidates earlier browser access.

Which devices and controls work?

Published galleries run in a modern browser with WebGL. Viewers can use a mouse, keyboard, touch, or optional camera-based hand tracking. For a shared-room experience, open the gallery on a laptop and connect it to a TV or projector.

Do I need to turn on my camera?

No. You can explore every gallery with a mouse, keyboard, or touch. Camera access is only needed when you choose hand tracking or play a camera-powered Gallmo game. Camera frames are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to Gallmo.

Can a gallery include video?

Yes. Gallmo can place photos and video poster frames together in the 3D scene, then open video in the media view for playback.

Can I customize the presentation?

Yes. Choose the gallery arrangement, visual theme, card treatment, centerpiece, guided tour behavior, title visibility, and optional ambient music before publishing.

Is there something for kids to enjoy?

Yes. Gallery Games Hub includes Photo Simon, This or That, Guess the Moment, and Popping Photos. Kids and grown-ups can use hand tracking, click, and take turns together with the photos already in the gallery. It does not require a separate child account; an adult should open the gallery and supervise its sharing settings.

Is a published gallery private?

A published gallery is unlisted and uses a hard-to-guess link. You can also require a gallery password, so the link alone is not enough to open it. A recipient can still forward the link and password, so share both carefully. Unpublishing stops all access immediately.

How does pricing work?

Gallery pricing is based on how long you want the gallery available and how many photos it holds. Choose 1 month with up to 35 photos for $12 USD, 6 months with up to 50 photos for $39, or 2 years with up to 80 photos for $79. Every plan covers one gallery and includes publishing, private link sharing, Gallery Games Hub, and hand-tracking controls. The free 10-minute demo includes a Gallmo watermark and does not allow uploads or sharing.

What accessibility support is built in?

The marketing and Studio interfaces use semantic headings and controls, visible keyboard focus, skip navigation, strong text contrast, and reduced-motion support. Gallery viewing does not require a camera, and standard keyboard, mouse, and touch controls remain available.

Should Gallmo be my only photo backup?

No. Gallmo is designed for presentation and sharing. Keep your original photo and video files in a separate, dependable backup as well.
